Communicate the advantages of replicating or adapting the State of Washington’s Centers of Occupational Health and Education (COHE) program through listservs and blogposts targeting policymaking and regulatory entities responsible for state workers’ compensation (WC) programs. Audiences that may be in a position to move the policy needle in the direction of a COHE-type model of collaborative care include state-based insurers (states with state-based funds, monopoly states), state workers’ comp regulatory agencies, and professional associations of those involved in policies related to RTW in a workers’ compensation system, such as administrative law judges. We could investigate working with organizations such as the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds (AASCIF) to reach their membership through newsletter announcements or other means.
